Call For Papers
The Journal
of Muslim Minority Affairs is a biannual research journal produced
by the Institute
of Muslim Minority Affairs. Published in the U.K. since 1979, the journal
has firmly established itself as a highly respected and widely acclaimed
academic and scholarly publication providing accurate, reliable and
objective information about Muslim minority communities in non-Muslim
societies around the world. JMMA
provides a forum for frank but responsible discussion of issues relating to
minorities. Recent issues have covered the
following subjects:
• Muslim minority community profiles, demographic status and trends.
• Origin, distribution and variety of Muslim minority communities.
• Socio-economic and political situation of Muslim minority
communities.
• Muslim women in diaspora, the minority's
minority.
• Inter-religious dialogue.
• Non-Muslims in Muslim societies.
JMMA is published for the Institute
of Muslim Minority Affairs by Carfax Publishing, Taylor & Francis Group, Oxfordshire,
U.K. Three issues per volume are printed in April, August,
and December each year. The editors welcome
submissions of previously unpublished research articles from all interested
scholars and students of minority affairs. We also
welcome critical and insightful reviews of relevant books.
JMMA is a refereed journal and acceptance of full-length
articles for publication is subject to anonymous peer-review. Manuscripts may be submitted to the Editor in two hard
copies with disks or electronically. Articles
submitted for consideration of publication must not have been previously
published in any language, and may not be submitted simultaneously to any
other journal for consideration of publication. Upon
publication, authors will receive from Carfax
Publishing fifty off-prints and one copy of the issue in which it appears. Articles published in JMMA are
abstracted or indexed in 18 different publications in the U.S.A, U.K, the Netherlands, France,
Germany and Malaysia. In the U.S.A. these include Sociological Abstracts;
IBBR; The Middle East Journal; The Muslim World; Social Planning, Policy
and Development; Historical Abstracts; America: History and Life; Religion
Index I: Periodicals; Index to Book Reviews in Religions.
